Another Year Older

Happy birthday to me... I have officially entered the last year of my twenties. I'd say I had a pretty good birthday. Apart from all the super nice birthday wishes from facebook friends and phone calls from family, I was lucky enough to go get an oil change ... which meant 1.5 hours of peace to finish my book. We also took the boys out to the mall, Jack and I got to go to Bonefish, AND I got to get a few drinks with two of my girlfriends. A great way to ring in another year.

The boys have been doing pretty well lately. We still struggle with naps, getting them to eat enough of the right foods, and Tyler's addiction to his Mamma, but on the whole, they are healthy and growing and fabulous. I feel we have now entered the world of discipline though and it's not going so well. They both love to shake our floor lamps (and have even succeeded in breaking one) and when I say no, they just think it is hillarious. I say no louder, more sternly; even more funny. I sometimes throw them in their cribs as "punishment" but that still only deflects them from going right back about half the time. Needless to say, it can be a little frustrating.

We had a fun snow day over here on Wednesday. We actually took the boys out in the snow for a few minutes for their first time and the reaction was mixed: Sam = not a fan, Ty = kind of fun.
