Tyrone & Pablo

Seriously?  A Tyrone and Pablo costume?  I found these at the GRMother of Twins sale (and admittedly left without purchasing and had to turn around and go get them) and how perfect are they?  If you have ever watched our kids or hung out with us for a full day, you know how important the Backyardagains are in this house.  We casually sing Backyardagains songs, quote phrases, and re-inact favorite episodes on a daily basis.  They absolutely LOVE the Backyardagains.  I can hardly wait to see them in the full getup! 

The Playground

We LOVE to play outside.  We also love our basement so hopefully the doldrums of winter won't be too bad ... but we LOVE to play outside.  During the summer, we tried out many of the local playgrounds in search of a close, nice, little-kid-friendly spot ... and we found a great one at Brookside Elementary on Madison right by our house. 
Today was a perfect early fall day for the "park."

 

Lucas slept for much of our time at the playground ... but he likes to check things out too!

Yellow Banana Bonanza

The Ninth Annual Party at the Ploegs was another success:  it was a Yellow Banana Bonanza of fun.  Every year, I get a little apprehensive about even going for it again.  But every year, I have a lot of fun and I think everyone else does too :).
